Artist Bio
Powerhouse vocalist Indira has been a featured talent on WPRI 12, Power 102.1 FM, Channel 8 News in Indianapolis and the recipient of the Dominican Youth Talent Award in 2022.
Indira’s original song, “Good Thing” released with Pat Van Dyke in January 2025, was featured on several Apple Music editorial playlists and was even highlighted by the music distribution company, CD Baby.
Ever since she was able to form memories, baby Indira had big dreams of a career in music. Through shear passion and resilience, Indira has carved a lane that only she can occupy. The singer songwriter is heavily influenced by her Latin Caribbean roots as well as jazz, neosxoul and indie alternative rock.
Audiences from Beverly Hills California to Brooklyn New York to La República Dominicana are dazzled when singer Indira hits the stage. Her voice is what draws you in but it is her sincerity that will make you want to stay.
UPCOMING SHOWS

Hello and welcome, my name is Indira. I am a bilingual singer and writer born and raised in Providence, Rhode Island.
First and foremost, I am proud of who I am. Little Dominicana (aye) growing up in the littlest city on the East Coast — curled up next to the Atlantic Ocean like a little lap dog.
It is not easy to know yourself and be proud of who you are. I don’t think I am alone in feeling lonely, less than or unworthy. Being the first generation, first born daughter to parents who didn’t have the luxury of self discovery — is heavy.
The wormhole of adolescence to adulthood was fraught with pain and amargura.
Screaming
Crying
Figuring out what is real
— Who am I?
For so many years, it felt like I was trapped under the rubble of stories and memories. Memories of being hurt, scared and abandoned.
But it wasn’t rubble, not at all.
It was in a cocoon
A chrysalis
Mine is the story of the Butterfly.
The story of being compelled to darkness
To endure its process of metamorphosis
So that when I am ready
I can emerge from the light
That I am.
So tremble at your power, Butterfly
Of making rainbows out of the hurricanes of your life.
Marvel at the way you alchemize bitterness into honey.
Your angels and the effervescence of Life itself
Guiding your steps everyday
Reminding you
Reminding me
That we are not alone, Butterfly
We are not alone.
